FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I’m nervous because I’ve never done a photoshoot before. Will you help me pose?
A: Yes! Absolutely! Many of my customers are first-timers. Posing doesn’t have to be complex. It just takes a few minor tweaks to go from good to great!
Q: What clothes should I bring?
A: We’ll talk through everything you’ll need in a pre-shoot phone consultation.
Q: Do I have to get a professional to do my hair & makeup?
A: I highly recommend it, but I also know that the costs can add up. Please consider it. It can make a huge difference.
Q: Will you lower your price if I find a cheaper photographer?
A: Nope. I work very hard to provide the highest value possible with all the variables of my business overhead.
Q: Where can we shoot?
A: I have two studio locations in Ventura, California. One has a ton of weights, plates, bars, kettlebells, ropes, and more for you to pose with. For an additional $125/hr. the other studio is great for the use of windows or a home/business atmosphere. It also has a separate room for boudoir sessions. If you want to shoot at another location, I travel within Ventura County to parks, beaches, homes & gyms. Note: If you want to shoot at a gym, you’ll need to contact them directly & coordinate. I’ll arrive with battery powered lights & a few stands.
Q: Will you alter my body in Photoshop to make me look better?
A: I’ll help you DURING our shoot with posing, but I strongly encourage you NOT to ask for this service. This should be about capturing YOUR hard work. Don’t cheat. 🙂
HOW TO PREP FOR THE SHOOT
• Get Sleep!
• Tan. Tanned skin looks better when photographed.
• Shave/wax a couple days prior to prevent reddish irritated skin.
• Clean and/or paint finger nails & toe nails.
• Pack ahead of time.
• Make sure you’ve confirmed your hair & makeup appointment if applicable.
• Confirm you have the address of our shoot.
DAY OF THE SHOOT
• Be on time. A lot of work goes into a workday schedule.
• Wear loose fitting clothing to prevent creases imprinted on your skin.
• Bring high heels if we’re shooting in the studio. They’ll help with posture.
